Accessibility statement

SC GURU CODERS SRL is committed to making gurucoders.ro accessible to as wide an audience as possible, including people with disabilities, in line with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as international best practice.

1. Our commitment

We make a reasonable effort for our site to be usable by keyboard, with screen readers, and by users who prefer reduced motion. We treat accessibility as a functional requirement, not as an add-on.

2. Conformance status

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. The following items are known and being worked on:

The Portfolio marquee scrolls automatically. The animation pauses on hover and on keyboard focus; an accessible pause control is available on Tab focus.
All parallax animations, prolonged hover effects and visual pulses are automatically disabled when the user has prefers-reduced-motion: reduce set in their operating system or browser.

3. Technologies used

The site is built with HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript (Next.js + React). Tested with NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) screen readers.

4. Assessment methods

Automated audit with axe-core and Lighthouse run at each significant release.
Manual testing of keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, ESC).
Text contrast verification on glass components with WebAIM tools.
